SICE also focuses on fostering young researchers who will lead the next generation, and with the aim of encouraging young researchers in their academic and technological research and supporting their international activities. To achieve this goal, the SICE International Young Authors Award (SIYA) was founded in 2020 to recognize young researchers at major conferences and symposia sponsored by SICE. The award is given to authors who present papers at the International Symposium on System Integration (SII), one of the important events co-hosted SICE. The award will be presented at SII2023@Atlanta. We look forward to receiving applications from those who meet the following requirements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>Applicants for this award must meet the following requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be under 35 years old (as of March 31, 2024).<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must not have received this award in the past.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant must be the first author and present the paper at SII 2024.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant must be a member of SICE or be in the process of applying for SICE membership by the time of the award presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>About the prize<\/h3>\n<p>Certificate of Commendation and prize money of JPY 100,000.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Number of Awardees<\/h3>\n<p>Up to 10 awards are anticipated.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Application procedure<\/h3>\n<p>To apply for this award, prepare the following documents and submit them to the SIYA Review Committee Chairman (Yasushi Nakauchi, University of Tsukuba: nakauchi at iit.tsukuba.ac.jp) by the application deadline via e-mail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant&#8217;s name, date of birth, and age (as of March 31, 2024)<\/li>\n<li>Applicant&#8217;s contact information (institutional address, current address, name, telephone number, and e-mail address)<\/li>\n<li>Affiliation and name of academic advisor (if the applicant is a student)<\/li>\n<li>SICE membership number (or application status)<\/li>\n<li>Camera Ready Paper<\/li>\n<li>Reviewer&#8217;s comments<\/li>\n<li>Abstract in Japanese or English<\/li>\n<li>Supplementary materials (e.g. movies, but if they are large in size, please attach the URL so that they can be downloaded).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Deadline for SIYA-SII 2024 Application<\/h3>\n<p>November 20th, 2023<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Award Results<\/h3>\n<p>Award winners will be notified by e-mail to the e-mail address provided at the time of application.
