The 2026 IEEE/SICE International Symposium on System Integration (SII 2026) will be held from January 11 to 14, 2026, in the vibrant city of Cancun, Mexico

Types of Contributed Papers

SII 2026 will accept 2 types of contributed papers and 1 type of late-breaking report:

Regular papers

Paper length is 4 to 6 pages, with up to 2 additional pages at an extra charge, for a maximum of 8 pages. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings on IEEE Xplore.

Special Session papers

The format and review process are identical to those for Regular papers. The main difference from the Regular paper review process is that the authors must contact a Special Session organizer, receive a code from the organizer, and indicate this session code when submitting the paper.

Late Breaking Reports

Paper length is limited to 1 page. Late-breaking reports will not be peer-reviewed and will not be included in IEEE Xplore.

Submission Procedure

Regular and Special Session papers submitted to SII 2026 will undergo a peer review process. A manuscript will be reviewed by at least two reviewers who will provide detailed comments. Once the submission is accepted, authors are required to address all review comments and submit a revised ("camera-ready") version. The review process is managed by the Program Committee. Regular and Special Session papers will be included in IEEE Xplore when accepted. However, late-breaking reports will not be included.

Regular and Special Session papers will be reviewed using a single-blind review process: authors will declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see. On the other hand, reviewers will not know the identity of other reviewers, nor will the authors know who has reviewed their manuscript.

All submissions should be done using the PaperPlaza Conference Management System. Authors must use the IEEE manuscript templates for conference proceedings (linked below). The template for A4 size paper should be used for all types of submissions, including the late-breaking reports.

All authors and co-authors must be registered in PaperPlaza. If you already have a PIN for PaperPlaza, you can use it. Otherwise, you can create the PIN in PaperPlaza by filling out the form. Ask each of your co-authors for their PINs or to create one, if needed. It is the corresponding author’s responsibility to ensure that a complete author list and a correct title are entered. This information will be used for the conference program and the proceedings.

The manuscript submission website will require that authors submit an abstract and make any final changes to the author list, as well as the title of the paper, before uploading the final camera-ready manuscript.
